KOMPACT STOOL
Cork is an appropriate material for a stool. It is warm and soft to touch, slip resistant and its hydrophobic properties mean it won’t become waterlogged even when left unsealed. It is also a renewable material that can be harvested from the same trees every 9-12 years.
Kompact stools are carved from a solid block of agglomerated cork, which is formed using only pressure and steam and contains no glues or additives. The design aims to maintain the massive quality of the block with only a subtle tightening that makes them easier to grip, maintaining a flat top so they can also be used as a side table.
